It is 'CRAVEN ARTS' first ever 'Art Trail' this weekend in Skipton and it should be brilliant!. It's therfore with enormous regret that I've had to pull out of the event at the last moment. My on going back problems meant that I just could not get work ready in time and I would not have been able to mount or man my display.
CRAVEN ARTS see this event, which is quite limited in scale, as a pilot project. The number of venues around the town centre are fairly limited however, the creative range of work that will be on show reflects the artistic excellence being achieved in this region.
The event is running over Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th August. The event hub is the 'Mill Bridge Gallery' and you can pick up a venue map there. The artists involved will be with their own work and will be only too pleased to talk about what inspires them and the processes and materials they use.
So, why not come along? The weather forecast for the weekend suggests sunbathing is a lost cause so what could be better than exploring Skipton's beautiful town centre whilst also taking in some fabulous art work?
